Welcome to Younger Family Fun, our family friendly site where we share the places we go, the things we do, the products we try and anything new we experience. We love to spend time together as a family and share our experiences with others!
Our family consists of parents, Alex and Anne Younger and our children Alexander (15), Ellenore (12) and Joseph (10) or as they are known around our house: Tater, Ellie and Joey. We also have an adorable little Morkie pup named Pancake as well as a Chihuahua mix named Waffles.
These are the faces you will see 99% off the time on this site.
In addition to our 3 little children, we also have 2 adult children, Zack and Libby who may make an appearance from every now and again. Thanks to them, we are also grandparents. Zack has two daughters, Hazel (7) and Reyna (3) and a baby boy on the way, as well as his beautiful wife, Justina. Libby has a daughter, Callie (2).
For the most part, you will only see us with our 3 ‘Younger’ children, but from time to time, the older kids and the grandkids may make an appearance.
Our family resides in the suburbs of Green Bay, WI, right in the shadows of Lambeau Field. We are HUGE Packers fans, we love to explore our city, the state and get out and about with the kids whenever and wherever we can.
On top of finding new places to explore, we also love to try out new products, experiences, restaurants, recipes and more!
Alex is a full-time maintenance laborer and millwright journeyman at a paper mill and Anne is currently a program instructor at the YMCA in their inclusion program, a community troop starter with the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes, a freelance writer, small business owner/crafter, and a Girl Scout troop leader. (She also happens to be the glue that holds everything together around here).
We love to take the kids to different attractions, but we also enjoy doing things as a couple as well. We love trying out new restaurants, plays and musicals, concerts, and more. Really, anything that we can do together, we are willing to try once. Alex is also an avid reader, XBOX player, and PC gamer while Anne is a reader, planner fanatic. creative crafter, and a binge watcher extraordinaire (Hello Gilmore Girls, Friends, Veronica Mars, etc. etc. etc. etc.) as well as excessive coffee consumer.
Alexander, aka, Tater, loves to play video games, especially Fortnite and Minecraft. He really enjoys gaming with friends on his XBOX One, reading graphic novels, mangas, comic books, or collecting Pokémon cards. Tater also loves Math, Science (STEM) and Robotics and is involved in a variety of these types of activities at school.
Ellie is our resident teacher, crafter, bookworm, and music lover (Hi Taylor Swift!). She is also our collector of bucket hats and wears a different one every day. Most days you can find her reading a book or crafting and singing in her room. She also loves Math and Science and just really loves school in general. She is also a Cadette in Girl Scouts and loves everything about it.
Joey is our special little man. He is high functioning autistic which means he doesn’t talk like your average 8 year old, he struggles with making friends and reading social cues, but he can teach you anything and everything about Minecraft, Slime Rancher, solar panels, the solar system and so much more. He loves to learn new things, snuggle with his mom, play Minecraft, watch YouTube videos and learn new things, and spend a lot of time in his quiet space.
